Experimenting with a fresh look
Coming into the end of 2018, I am reflecting on the challenges of the past year and examining the areas in my life where I may want to change. With my other blog, I have centered the writing primarily on exploration of new places as well as lifestyle hobbies such as houseplants, food, or reading.
With this new blog, I would like to focus more on style interests and exploring aesthetics. This may involve clothing, jewelry, styling the home, beauty, and skincare. Although these topics might seem more superficial, I think there is much creative expression and simple fun that can be found in these topics. This involves:
- Identifying any items that are not being used or worn. Think about ways that these items could be incorporated or sort them into a donation pile.
- Store away clothing that is not currently in season such as summer blouses, shorts, and dresses. This will make it easier to look at all the seasonal clothing I have and how to work with them.
- Organize winter season clothing into a smaller wardrobe selection. Somewhat like a capsule wardrobe but less restrictive because I do not want to be tied down to any specific rules until I have gone through and examined all items.
- Plan outfit options.
