Closet organization project
Today felt like a productive day although I spent it at home. It is the first sick day I have taken during this school year and I decided it would be preferable to showing up at work with a croaking hoarse voice and continuously reaching for tissues to blow my nose. I took the opportunity to clean out my closet and put away summer clothing.

I started by pulling any out of season clothing off the hangers and tossing them into a pile to sort through. I then created a donation pile as well as sorted summer items into one large suitcase for storage. Due to the constraints of space in apartment living, it definitely helped with organization to store away summer/spring clothing such as summer dresses, shorts, and tank tops.
The end result was fairly satisfying since I am now better able to see what clothing items I do have and it is less overwhelming to go through my closet and pick an outfit. Going through the clothing items that I reach for most often, I can definitely see my preference for neutral clothing. My wardrobe is dominated by gray, black, white, navy, and simple pinstripe patterns. Usually, I find that when I opt for brighter colors or bolder patterns, I lose interest in them quickly or find the pieces to be too "loud."
